Bexhill Achievers Awards To see a slideshow of the event please click here The Bexhill Achievers Awards took place at the De La Warr Pavilion on the evening of September 29th. Following a day of bright sunshine, the atmosphere in the auditorium hotted up as the audience gathered to witness some of Bexhill's most outstanding citizens receive the recognition they deserve. Time after time, local people came to the stage to be given their awards for extraordinary actions, generosity and commitment to others. Their stories were heartwarming, uplifting and inspiring. Their commitment to the wellbeing of others, to the prosperity of their community and to the future of Bexhill was clear to all. Tickets were free to attend the event, and Bexhill turned out in force to support all those who were honoured for their commitment to their community, and recognised for helping to make Bexhill a better place to live, work and achieve ambitions. Keith Ridley , Editor-in-Chief of the Eastbourne Herald and Observer Series of newspapers was co-host for the evening, exchanging a lively banter with Beverley Thompson, Senior Public Relations Manager of Southern Water who added a touch of glamour to the hosting and presentation. The evening ended on a fabulous note with an exciting perforrmance from Carl Parsons, the eleven year old superstar winner of the Eastbourne Talent Show 2011. As the audience poured out into the warm night, the talk was of next year.
